George Lucas, who could bankroll the completion (of THE OTHER SIDE OF THE WIND) by signing a check from petty cash, declined to do so. (...Graver recalls) 'After Orson died, I showed Lucas THE OTHER SIDE OF THE WIND in Steven Spielberg's projection room. Lucas just shrugged his shoulders and said he didn't know what to do with it, that it wasn't commercial.'
